Pottstown Players Win on Field, in Classroom

POTTSTOWN FOOTBALL ATHLETES WIN ACADEMIC HONORS – Pottstown High School football players who demonstrated both academic and athletic talents this season recently were recognized by the All-Academic teams of both EasternPAFootball.com and the PA Football News Service. Players with qualifying grade point averages and who also participated in at least half of the season’s varsity games receive gold, silver or bronze honors in the All-Academic program. Earning the gold standard with 4.0 GPAs were Daniel Darden, Dereck Darden, David Hicks, Robert Richards, Jon Oister, Jorge Mundo, Jahzeel Watson, Anthony DiPierto, Jared Hewitt, and Gabriel Hicks. Silver honors for GPAs of between 3.4 and 3.7 went to Cole Miller, Matt Walker, Sensair Wesley, Gary Allan, and Mason Miller. Bronze honorees with GPAs of 3.0 to 3.3 were Daiwik Phillips and Joneil Oister.
