Wellness Foundation Hires Harleysville Man
HARLEYSVILLE PA – Harleysville resident John Robertson, formerly assistant director of communications and marketing at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington VA, has been hired as communications assistant for the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation, it announced. He will coordinate all foundation communications, as well as expand its use of video, photography, and other media.
The foundation intends to enhance the health and wellness of area residents, providing education, funding and programs that motivate people to adopt healthy lifestyles.
At the institute, Robertson managed content development, social media initiatives, and media relations. His expertise includes editing, writing, photography and graphic design. He also coached the college running club and served as an athletic director.
Robertson is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland VA, with a bachelor of arts degree in classical Greek, and minors in classics and religious studies. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. He is an avid long-distance runner; his recent races include the Boston Marathon in April, and the Blues Cruise 50k in Reading earlier this month.
