CELEBRATING ITS OPENING – Superior Credit Union, a Collegeville PA-based financial institution, this week celebrates the grand opening of its Pottstown branch office at 930 N. Charlotte St. The credit union sought permission in May 2018 from the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities to open at the site. It occupies the former location of an earlier closed branch of First Niagara Bank, which vacated the premises after its July 2016 merger with Key Bank Corp. Superior is headquartered at 100 Crosskeys Rd., Collegeville, and was founded in 1956 as an independent organization by employees of Superior Tube Company but is chartered to serve all Montgomery County residents. It also operates branch offices in Collegeville and Royersford.
