Saturday’s Coffee With Cops ‘Well Received’

Saturday's Coffee With Cops 'Well Received'

MAKING AND RENEWING ACQUAINTANCES – Officers of the Pottstown, Lower Pottsgrove, Upper Pottsgrove, and West Pottsgrove police departments spent a portion of their morning Saturday (June 8, 2019) sharing coffee and visiting with patrons at Brookside Family Restaurant on North Charlotte Street in Lower Pottsgrove. Guests simply walked into Brookside, took a seat, ordered free coffee, and motioned to police to join them for a chat. Among two of those available during the “Coffee With A Cop” event were Upper Pottsgrove Ofc. Quinn Gauger (above, standing at far right), and West Pottsgrove Ofc. Andrew Templin (second from right), who talked with two members of the military. Lower Pottsgrove Police Sgt. Wil James, who helped organize the effort, said it “went very well and was widely received by the community.” The local departments expect to offer another event sometime in the future, he said.
