Pottstown Resident Ticketed After Auto Accident

NORTH COVENTRY PA – A Pottstown resident was ticketed Saturday (Dec. 29, 2018) by North Coventry police for driving at an unsafe speed following a three-vehicle crash that occurred at about 8:56 a.m. near 731 Fisher Ave., the department website reported. Police said the sole driver, Lindsey M. Place, was traveling east on Fisher when her vehicle collided with two others parked on the street’s south side.

Officers allege Place’s vehicle “was traveling at a speed that was greater than was reasonable for the environmental conditions that existed (heavy sun glare), and traveled off the south side of the roadway. It struck one of the parked vehicles, which then was pushed into the rear end of the vehicle parked in front of it.

The Place vehicle “sustained disabling passenger’s side front end damage and was towed from the scene,” according to the police account. The first parked vehicle that was hit “sustained disabling driver’s side rear end damage (and) minor front end damage,” and also was towed from the scene. The second parked vehicle “sustained minor rear end damage and could be driven from the scene,” it added.

“No injuries were reported at the time of the crash,” police noted.
