Radar Signs Help Amity Police Target Speeders

SIGNS HELP TARGET ENFORCEMENT – Radar-equipped signs that track the speed of passing vehicles are showing up along roads in Amity Township, Police Chief Andrew Kensey reported Friday (Aug. 3, 2018) on the township police department’s website. The department has received “numerous complaints of person(s) driving at unsafe speeds throughout the township,” he said, which prompted buying the signs “to target our most volatile areas.” The department intends to use them to identify locations where speeding is highest or most persistent, and then plan corresponding enforcement.
