LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – U.S. 422 motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions during this week, beginning today (Monday, Aug. 6, 2018) for continuing construction activities to build new bridges and rebuild 1.6 miles of the highway through Lower Pottsgrove Township, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reported.
The proposed work schedule is:
- For Monday and Tuesday (Aug. 6-7) from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., a left-lane closure is planned for median construction on westbound 422 between its Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges; and
- For Wednesday and Thursday (Aug. 8-9) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the right lane is scheduled to close for pipe-cleaning operations on eastbound 422 between its Keim Street and Sanatoga interchanges.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling on 422 through the work areas, because backups and delays may occur. These operations depend on the weather.
