POTTSTOWN PA – Lane restrictions on Manatawny Street, between Spring Street and Upland Street in Pottstown Borough and West Pottsgrove Township, are expected to continue overnights from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday (May 18, 2018), according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The restrictions are necessary for milling and paving operations, as part of an improvement project to repair and resurface 20 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, PennDOT added. Its contractor, Glasgow Inc. of Glenside PA, is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving it with new asphalt. The work will seal the roadways and give drivers a smoother riding surface.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone. Slowdowns will occur during construction, the agency said. Glasgow’s schedule depends on the weather.
