Pottstown Students Got STEAMed Up Thursday

POTTSTOWN PA – The sound inside the Pottstown Senior High School cafeteria was occasionally deafening, but broad smiles were visible everywhere, as students of all ages from district schools converged Thursday night (May 3, 2018) with their families to enjoy hours of combined fun and learning at its annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Night.

The free event gave kids and adults alike opportunities to let imaginations run wild. It intends to spotlight and encourage interest in the sciences, and the future careers they offer. The night was sponsored by the district and several partners, and relied on the talents of teachers, students, and several volunteers. Hundreds came out during the warm evening to explore and discover, and went home with bags of give-aways.
