POTTSTOWN PA – Postcards and e-mails were sent out Friday (Feb. 9, 2018) by the Foundation for Pottstown Education, which hopes to update a Pottstown High School alumni directory that hasn’t been revised since 2009 (at right). The foundation encourages all alumni to respond for the project, which it anticipates will be completed by December.
A comprehensive alumni directory is frequently sought by organizers of graduating class reunions, and others looking to re-connect with former high school friends who may have left the area or who otherwise can’t be located. The finished product will be available for sale in printed or electronic versions, but no purchase is required.
The foundation is working with Texas-based Publishing Concepts Inc., which has successfully produced similar publications for Shriners International, the University of Oklahoma, and West Virginia University. Although the foundation said it is not earning proceeds from the publication, it will receive both printed and digital copies of the final book.
Beginning Monday (Feb. 12), Publishing Concepts will open its in-bound phone lines to accept Pottstown alumni information. Other update methods may also be available. The deadline to update information is Aug. 10; printed and digital releases should follow within four months, the foundation added.
Pottstown alumni who don’t receive a mail or e-mail contact to participate are asked to call the foundation during regular office hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 610-970-6616. If the staff is unavailable, leave a message.
