Pottstown's Pet Fair Promoted Animal Friends

FOR EVERY HELLO, A BARK OF GREETING – A large crowd of people, and a seemingly larger crowd of animals of all kinds, filled a portion of Memorial Park during Saturday’s (Sept. 16, 2017) seventh annual Pottstown Pet Fair. The successful gathering that began years ago with only a handful of vendors and sparse attendance has blossomed into a regional event which draws thousands from the area and neighboring states. The fair puts a specific emphasis on adopting pets in forever homes, and so many participating groups represented shelters and rescue organizations. Among them were Buddy (above), featured by the Perkiomenville branch of the Montgomery County SPCA. Shelties made an appearance (at top and below), thanks to Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue Inc. Of course, there were plenty of felines present too, due in part of the efforts of CatNAPS of Pottstown (bottom).
