AMITY PA – Seemingly unrelated thefts of and from vehicles have continued across western Montgomery, eastern Berks, and northern Chester counties in recent weeks. Among the latest: the theft of a pick-up truck reported Thursday (Sept. 14, 2017) by the Amity Township Police Department.
Department officers responded at 5:58 a.m. to the call of a township resident, who discovered and immediately notified authorities about his missing truck, a 2011-model Chevrolet Silverado, slate blue in color, bearing Pennsylvania license plate “ZFZ-3257.” The owner said the truck had been parked in his driveway on Spruce Court in Douglassville PA at about 10 p.m. the night before.
The vehicle has a unique decal covering the entire back window, that reads “Salt Life,” and includes images of a skull and crossed fishing rods, police added.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to call Amity Detective Michael DiMaria at 610-689-6000 Ext. 235.
A variety of thefts, involving either stolen vehicles or goods, also have been reported Sept. 11 in Upper Perkiomen, Sept. 5 in New Hanover, and Aug. 22 in Collegeville.
