POTTSTOWN PA – Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) ranks ninth among the Top 10 community colleges across Pennsylvania to offer online education, according to a new review conducted by the website OnlineColleges.com. It announced its rankings in a press release issued Tuesday (Nov. 1, 2016).
MCCC also ranked 20th among 117 Pennsylvania higher education institutions the website reviewed.
To generate its ratings, OnlineColleges.com said it relied on data from the National Center for Education Statistics to evaluate schools on a variety of measurements. They included the number of online programs schools offer, the percentage of students studying online, the average cost of in-state and out-of-state tuition, and student services.
Westmoreland County Community College ranked first on the Top 10 community colleges list. The website also ranked Pennsylvania’s four-year schools for online programs; Drexel University headed that list.
MCCC operates campuses in Pottstown and Blue Bell.
