BLUE BELL PA – Dr. Kevin Pollock (above), who since April 2009 has served as president of St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron MI, was named Tuesday (Jan. 19, 2016) as the new president of Montgomery County Community College (MCCC), effective April 1. He will be the institution’s fifth president.
The college Board of Trustees conducted what it called “an extensive, eight-month national search” before selecting Pollock. The incoming leader has more than 30 years of education experience, including college administration, strategic planning, leadership and teaching, according to an MCCC press release.
He succeeds Dr. Karen A. Stout, who held the job of college president for more than 14 years until resigning to become president and CEO of Achieving the Dream Inc., a community college student advocacy group.
Pollock is a frequent national speaker on topics that include student success, leadership, strategic planning and college transformation. He also has authored 18 book chapters and articles. Pollock holds a Ph.D. in Higher, Adult and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University, and a Master of Arts in Education and Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University.
