A Philadelphia man has been charged with lying to Montgomery County detectives during their investigation into the shotgun death in Lower Pottsgrove of Kareem Ali Borowy.

The Montgomery County Coroner has ruled that Sunday murder victim Kareem Ali Borowy, who died in Lower Pottsgrove Township, was killed by a gunshot to the back. A brief update on the case was offered Monday night to the Board of Commissioners.

A man who was dumped Sunday afternoon along Sanatoga Station Road in Lower Pottsgrove and who pleaded for help from passing motorists, following an invasion and robbery attempt at his West Pottsgrove home, is dead. Investigators are asking for public assistance in solving the crimes.

A Lower Pottsgrove father, 45, had taken several medications before attempting to drive from his home with two children in his car, police alleged. Witnesses said his vehicle struck two others as he exited a parking spot.

Three different police agencies caught an average of one lead-footed motorist every six minutes during a four-hour U.S. Route 422 speed enforcement detail Wednesday on the east side of Pottstown. Some fines were doubled because speeders were pulled over in “active” construction zones.
