Pottstown and surrounding municipalities are being asked to vote on including Lower Frederick Township as a member of the Ches-Mont Emergency Response Team. It was Lower Pottsgrove’s turn Thursday; its commissioners gave unanimous consent.

‘Breaking Dawn Part 1,” the fourth installment in the Twilight Saga teen vampire movie franchise, enjoyed the fifth-best weekend opening ever for a single film, grossing $138.1 million in ticket sales. The grand opening of the new Carmike Cinemas in Pottstown contributed to that total.
