POTTSTOWN PA – The Pottstown-based TriCounty chapter of SCORE, which provides advice and guidance to local small businesses and their owners with help from the U.S. Small Business Administration, said Monday (March 16, 2020) it was temporarily closing its East High Street offices and canceling all earlier scheduled workshops until further notice, due to coronavirus.
But like any determined merchant or retailer, the chapter pledged to hang in there for the fight. It wants the business community to do the same.
SCORE members intend to “continue to work with clients, and welcome new ideas and entrepreneurs.” Those who are already chapter clients should “contact your mentor to schedule your next meeting via phone or video conference,” it urged. “Don’t lose touch or set aside your planning and preparation,” its e-mail added.
“This will end,” it said of the COVID-19 outbreak. And, SCORE promised, “we’ll be in touch.”
