Studio B Artists’ Works Hit The (Short) Road

BOYERTOWN PA – A selection of works by artist members of Boyertown’s Studio B Fine Art Gallery, at 39 E. Philadelphia Ave., has hit the road … although the distance traveled this time isn’t that far from the gallery itself.

An exhibit themed “Places of Boyertown” is currently on display at Firefly Café, 12 N. Reading Ave. Gallery director and fine artist Susan Biebuyck acknowledges few people have far to go to see these pieces if they live in or around town. That’s just fine by her. “We know the patrons of Firefly Café will enjoy seeing the work of our local artists, and love getting to know them and their work,” she explained.

The exhibit continues through Nov. 30. All the works are for sale.

Biebuyck gives each member artist a 20-inch by 20-inch canvas, and challenges them to create a piece of art to take on the road. The gallery transports its members’ artworks out of the studio several times a year, offering them an opportunity to broaden their market outreach. Such exhibits also acquaint those beyond Boyertown’s confines with both the studio and its talented group.

Locations of previous “Studio B Members on the Road” exhibits include Montgomery County Community College in Pottstown PA, the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center in Pennsburg PA, the Baum School of Art in Allentown, PA, Goggleworks in Reading PA, the Art Gallery at Franklin Commons in Phoenixville PA, the Animal Rescue League also in Phoenixville, Frederick Living in Frederick PA, and Tompkins VIST Bank in Boyertown.
