Trojan Man Among Mascots At Child Cancer Run

FIGHTING CHILDHOOD CANCER – Trojan Man (above at right), the mascot of Pottstown High School, recently joined with the Philly Phanatic and other members of “National Mascots for a Cure” to participate in the Philly Mascot Mini Marathon 5K (3.1-mile) run at Citizens Bank Park. It raised money and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Pottstown senior Brandon Gebhard and high school teacher Dave Woodley were among the runners. Gebhard, in his first 5K, placed 16th overall and 4th in his age group, in a time of 32:32. Woodley placed 15th overall, second in his age group, with a time of 31:21. Trojan Man and other mascots supported children participating in the Kids Quarter Mile Run, encouraging and cheering them on to do their best.
