LIMERICK PA – A new H&M fashion retail outlet store is scheduled to open its doors next Thursday (Aug. 22, 2019) at noon at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, 18 W. Lightcap Rd., shopping center owner Simon Corp. announced, and the event is accompanied by a variety of give-aways, it added.
Best known by the initials of its corporate entity, Hennes and Mauritz Inc., H&M claims to be one of the world’s largest fashion retailers. Its Limerick location provides about 23,000 square feet of selling space with clothing for women, men and children, and will be the chain’s 24th store within Pennsylvania, Simon said. Like all its U.S. stores, the Limerick location is powered by renewable energy, H&M said.
Twenty new jobs were created with the store’s arrival, H&M said. The company this year was recognized by Forbes magazine as one of “America’s Best Employers for Diversity.” Any available job opportunities can be found at its employment website, here.
To celebrate the opening, H&M will offer the first 100 shoppers in line at the outlets an “H&M Access to Fashion Pass,” valued between $10 and $500. Customers in line after the first 100 shoppers will receive $10 off a purchase of $50 or more. Customers who recycle garments on opening day can also enter to win a gift card from $50 to $250.
H&M said it was the first global fashion company to launch in-store garment recycling. During 2018 alone, its U.S. division diverted more than 3.4 million pounds of unwanted textiles from landfills, it added.
