Shooting Victim ‘Stable;’ Police Search For Actor

POTTSTOWN PA – The victim of a Sunday (June 23, 2019) shooting that occurred at about 8 p.m. at 12 W. 6th St. in the borough is hospitalized and reported by the Pottstown Police Department to be in stable condition. Police are still looking for the shooter, they added.

The department identified the victim as 38-year-old Christopher Keller.

According to a media statement issued Monday (June 24), police responded to the site on reports of a shooting and discovered Keller, reportedly inside the home’s kitchen, having “suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.” A Goodwill ambulance crew provided treatment at the scene, the department said, and transported him to what was later identified as the trauma center at Reading Hospital.

As of Monday morning police said they had not located the shooter, but did not indicate whether they knew or suspected the actor’s identity. They asked “anyone with information in regard to this incident” to call the department at 610-970-6570.
