Reach Stars In Summer At Pottstown Library

POTTSTOWN PA – It’ll be a summer of celestial education, starry-eyed wonder, and take-your-breath-away entertainment at the Pottstown Regional Public Library, 500 E. High St., as it kicks off its space-themed 2019 Astronaut Training Camp activities, and Universe of Stories reading programs, for all ages.

This is a big anniversary year for space exploration. The nation in July celebrates the 50th anniversary of the United States’ landing on the moon, and much more.

For its part, the library joins in the fun beginning with a summer Kick-Off Party scheduled for June 18 (Tuesday) from 6-7 p.m. It’s offering snacks, craft activities, a photo exhibit, special “astronaut training,” contest and prizes. There’s a special sign-up, too, for prizes and awards in the reading program.

Bring the family, Youth Services Coordinator Lisa Kraljevich said.

That’s not all. The library has 22 separate events planned through mid-August to keep families and their readers happily occupied.

No registration is necessary – that’s right, just show up! – to participate in these summer activities scheduled by the library for all. Most are held at the library at various times, others are at selected locations surrounding Pottstown. Check the library events calendar, here, for specifics on:
