TASTY, AND FOR A GOOD CAUSE – The Lower Pottsgrove Historical Society’s annual Strawberry Festival returns Saturday (June 8, 2019) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grounds of the society headquarters at Sanatoga Chapel, 2341 E. High St. Admission is free; you’ll pay only for what you eat. Additionally, for the first time, the popular event also will offer a pop-up beer garden operated by and featuring selections from the Bald Birds Brewing Company of Audubon. Lunch will be served, too, with hot dogs and barbeque items for purchase. Baked goods and fresh-cut flowers also will be available. The society is conducting a basket raffle, too. The festival also offers live entertainment with acoustic classic rock by Skip N’ Chickie. Free additional parking will be available on Lower Pottsgrove-owned properties at East High Street and South Pleasant View Road, township Manager Ed Wagner said.
