Upper Providence Police May Have Your Car Loot

COLLEGEVILLE PA – Drivers who parked overnight last week in the Perkiomen Woods housing community of Collegeville, and were discouraged to discover their vehicles had been broken into and items from them stolen, may receive happier news this week from the Upper Providence Township Police, according to its website.

Police on May 29 (2019; Wednesday) said they arrested an at-the-time unidentified and allegedly “suspicious” male in the nearby area of Ridgeview Drive and Twilight Circle. He was later charged with various offenses.

While taking him into custody – the report did not disclosed his name – officers alleged they found him with “a quantity of items” suspected to have been stolen between May 28 and 29 from Perkiomen Woods.

“We are asking that anyone who has experienced a theft from their motor vehicle between May 28 and May 29, especially in the Collegeville section of the township,” to contact Detective Shea Johnson at 610-933-7899. Refer to Case 68-19-03864.
