DAR Names Pottstown Senior Gery ‘Good Citizen’

HONORED BY THE DAR AS A GOOD CITIZEN – Pottstown High School senior Mary Gery (at top center, flanked at left by Principal Danielle McCoy, and Guidance Counselor Amanda Conlan, right) recently was recognized by the Manatawny chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution with its Good Citizen Award. It commends students who are dependable, involved in community service, have leadership qualities, and exhibit patriotism. Gery is highly involved with her church and has attended several mission trips. She is a member of Pottstown High’s National Honor Society, is a founder of its Debate Club, is a member of its cross-country and softball teams, and also serves as senior class secretary. Most recently she filled the role of as master of ceremonies for the high school’s Mr. Pottstown contest. Gery will attend King’s College next year as a student in its physician’s assistant and honors programs.
