Victoria’s Secret Theft Yields $1,000 In Clothing

NORTH COVENTRY PA – More than $1,000 worth of “various items of clothing,” including sweatshirts, sweatpants, shirts, and shorts were stolen about two weeks ago from the Victoria’s Secret retail store in Coventry Mall on Route 724, according to the North Coventry Police Department. It’s still hunting for the suspects, it said Thursday (Dec. 27, 2018) on its website, and is hoping for public help.

Police responded Dec. 18 (Tuesday) at about 8 p.m. to the store on a report of a theft in progress. A store employee said “two African American females in their mid 20s” were seen selecting merchandise, putting it into several bags, and then “fleeing the store with the merchandise, passing all points of sale.”

No photographs or video footage accompanied the police report; it is not known if either were available.

The department is asking “anyone with information in this matter” to give it a call at 610-323-8360, or to anonymously submit a tip on its website, here.
