DANCING THE HOURS AWAY – Female students and their fatherly escorts (above and below), comprising a crowd of more than 600 people, turned Friday’s (Nov. 16, 2018) Pottstown School District Father-Daughter Dance into a “tremendous success” at Pottstown Middle School, the district reported. The event was organized by district Board of School Directors’ member Katina Bearden, with assistance from colleagues Amy Francis and Sue Lawrence. “The evening ran smoothly,” the district proclaimed in an e-mail, and added: “It was clear from the smiles on the young ladies faces, and the proud dads taking pictures to capture the moment … that all enjoyed a night of family time” with memories to be shared for years to come. A Mother-Son Dance is being planned for the spring, the district noted.
