POTTSTOWN PA – About 200 Pottstown-area families will enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal this year, thanks to assistance from the Pottstown-based YWCA Tri-County Area, and Exelon Corp.’s Limerick Generating Station.
Exelon donated funds to purchase a Thanksgiving meal for families whose children attend The Y’s Early Education Center, it announced Wednesday (Nov. 14, 2018). Exelon employees (above) volunteered to deliver the food Friday (Nov. 16). Each family will receive a turkey, fresh green beans and potatoes, canned corn and cranberry sauce, a box of stuffing mix, and a pie.
The company also contributed to Operation Warm, a project that provides warm winter coats to 160 children enrolled in the education center’s pre-school and after-school programs.
