POTTSTOWN PA – Potential housing and school-related growth on Lincoln Avenue in the borough, both sought by The Hill School, seemed to interest borough council during its Wednesday (March 7, 2018) Committee Of The Whole meeting. But a proposal to erect an electronic sign on North Charlotte Street?; maybe not so much.
Council members learned more about The Hill’s suggested expansion of its dining hall, and its desire to build several new townhomes in the 500 block of Lincoln. Both reportedly have already been recommended by the borough Planning Commission. In an unrelated agenda item, they also were introduced to Pottstown Community Action, a group supported by Habitat for Humanity, which seeks to improve conditions in some neighborhoods.
Council also heard again about a property owner’s interest in putting up an electronic sign in the 600 block of North Charlotte, from the attorney representing that client. During a meeting last month, the council sent a letter asking the Zoning Hearing Board to deny the request.
