POTTSTOWN PA – Ashia Cooper (at top), a former member of the board of directors of the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation and a past counselor in both the Pottstown and Owen J. Roberts school districts, has been named by the foundation as its new program officer for capacity building and collaborations.
Cooper will be responsible for managing the grants process for primary and behavioral health, and capacity building engagement. She will collaborate with community organizations – such as the Tri-County Health Council, TriCounty Community Network, and Pottstown Trauma Informed Community Connection – to support regional health and wellness initiatives.
Cooper also will manage the foundation’s impact and outcomes measurement development and implementation, and sustainability systems.
“I’ve been privileged to see the great work of the foundation over the years through the eyes of a board member, and I am excited to embark on this new path in my career,” Cooper said. “I look forward to getting to know the organizations in my program area and continuing to fulfill our mission.”
The foundation intends to enhance the health and wellness of area residents by providing education, funding, and programs that motivate people to adopt healthy lifestyles.
