Kehoe, a library employee since April 2012, formerly was manager of Union Township, Berks County; library director of Wernersville Public Library in Wernersville PA, and library manager and children’s library coordinator at Boone Area Library in Birdsboro.
The library, located at 500 E. It operates Mondays through Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kehoe earned a bachelor’s degree in history and art history from Lycoming College, her certification as a library technical director from Northhampton Community College, and a master’s degree in library science from Clarion University.
“Michelle is notable for her ability to bring together the many stakeholders in a modern library,” Board of Directors’ President Deb Penrod said in a media release, “including elected officials; state, county, and municipal offices; donors, patrons, media, and foundations or other sources of grants.”
“I am thrilled to be able to leave the Library in Michelle’s care, who I know will be able to take it well into the future,” Davis added.
