NEW HANOVER PA – A door-mounted security camera at a New Hanover Township home caught grainy video footage of an alleged perpetrator who township police officers just can’t wait to meet. The individual may be responsible, they believe, for theft and burglary at two different properties over three days within the same area.
Police are attempting to identify a man (at top), his age estimated to be in the late teens or early 20s, who showed up on the household surveillance unit last week.
They suspect he may be connected to a theft that occurred last Thursday (Nov. 2, 2017) at a property on Buchert Road, according to the department’s Facebook page. They also think he may be connected to a night-time residential burglary that occurred Saturday (Nov. 4) elsewhere on the 400 block of Buchert, very close to the location of the earlier theft, officers said.
In the first incident, the male drove up in what police describe as Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup truck, possibly manufactured between 2003 and 2006. It seems to be tan in color, the department indicated; earlier, it suggested the color might have been silver.
Anyone with information about the incidents or the man is asked to call New Hanover police at 610-327-1150.
