POTTSTOWN PA – Dollar Tree retail stores in Pottstown, North Coventry, Boyertown, Limerick, Royersford, Trappe, and Phoenixville will participate in an 11th annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the children of military families, the company announced Friday (Nov. 3, 2017).
Dollar Tree customers can purchase toys for military kids as a way to ease the financial burdens that often accompany the holiday season for junior- and mid-grade service members and their families, the company said. Its stores will make collection boxes available in which shoppers can place their purchased toys, confident they will be delivered to appropriate families.
Toy collection and delivery are being performed by volunteers of Operation HomeFront, a non-profit that operates several programs to benefit families of those serving in the nation’s military. Toys will be distributed during holiday events across the country, and through on-base Family Readiness Groups.
