POTTSTOWN PA – With an Oct. 10 deadline fast approaching for voter registration in Pennsylvania, the YWCA Tri-County Area announced it will participate in National Voter Registration Day today (Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017) and provide area residents with an opportunity to register for the Nov. 7 general elections.
The nationwide event represents action to encourage all Americans to join in the election process, a YWCA news release stated. It claimed “millions of Americans didn’t vote (in 2016 elections) because they missed a registration deadline or didn’t know how to register.”
Voter registration forms will be available Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the YWCA offices, 300 King St. Residents who have moved, reached age 18, changed names, haven’t voted in recent elections, or want to change party affiliation must update their voter registration to vote this year. The YWCA will forward all forms to the voter’s appropriate county board of elections.

Pennsylvania voters in November will select mayors, school board members, township commissioners and supervisors, borough council members, and those occupying other municipal elected offices.
