Police: Thieves Take 2 Vehicles In New Hanover

NEW HANOVER PA – Two vehicles, both apparently left unlocked with keys inside, were stolen Sunday night (Sept. 3, 2017) from the area of Washington Drive and Fagleysville Road in New Hanover Township, the police department reported on its Facebook page.

“We also received numerous additional reports of thefts out of unlocked vehicles and others that had simply been rummaged through,” the department added.

An investigation is under way. The post did not mention a time the incidents may have occurred, how many other vehicles were involved, if any were locked and broken into, or what contents might have been missing. The department asked anyone with information on the thefts to call it directly at 610-327-1150, rather than leave a message via Facebook.

It also warned residents: “please remember to lock your vehicles and remove any valuables.”
