GILBERTSVILLE PA – State Rep. Marcy Toepel (147th House District) is partnering with Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg and members of the Pennsylvania Department of Veterans Affairs to offer veterans information about their benefits, and present them with cards offering discounts on goods and services, during a gathering Sept. 8 (2017; Friday) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Toepel’s office, 1885 Swamp Pike.
No registration is required. The Veterans Affairs’ mobile van will be stationed in the parking area.
Veterans will be able to sign up for the state veterans’ registry to receive e-mails regarding local, state and national news, program updates, community events, and employment opportunities available specifically for them. They also can ask questions about available benefits.
Sorg will process the discount cards, which offer price reductions for goods and services from more than 400 participating merchants. To receive a discount card that day, veterans are asked to bring their original Form DD-214 and a valid photo identification.
