Bomb Prank Callers ‘Must Be Held Accountable’

POTTSTOWN PA – The person or persons who twice last week created scares at Pottstown High School by making bomb threats “are breaking the law and disrupting all of our lives,” Pottstown School District Acting Superintendent Stephen Rodriguez said in a video (above) posted Friday (Feb. 24, 2017) to the district YouTube channel. “They must be held accountable, and we will do everything we can to help make that happen,” he pledged.

The 2-minute and 54-second video was titled as “A Message from Acting Superintendent Stephen Rodriguez,” and as of Sunday (Feb. 26) at 10:30 a.m. had already received more than 520 views.

The threats occurred Wednesday (Feb. 22) and again Friday, and caused classes to be evacuated for a period of time.

Rodriquez appealed to the public for help in identifying the prank caller.
