Visitors examine musical instruments during the Pottstown Arts Walk earlier this month at Steel River Playhouse
POTTSTOWN PA – If it was good in colder weather, it should be even better when it’s warmer. That’s the logic behind an announcement that the Pottstown Arts Walk, which made a successful downtown Pottstown debut Jan. 7 (2017; Saturday) despite frigid temperatures, will return for an encore May 6 (Saturday).

In an e-mail this week, the Pottstown Arts Walk Committee reported the response to its initial event “and the number of registered participants blew us all away. And while the weather may not have been ideal, we received great feedback from both visitors and venues” on the first attempt. They were thankful for the support, committee members said, and ready to try again in spring.
The next Arts Walk “will be a day even more packed full of family fun, with our Arts Walk destinations and restaurants,” according to the committee. It also will leverage the drawing power of two additional events planned for the same day, it said: the annual PowWow on the Mantawny Creek in Memorial Park, and May Day festivities at historic Pottsgrove Manor.
“As plans develop, we will let you know what you can look forward to … We can’t wait to see you then!,” the e-mail added.
