POTTSTOWN PA – Two men who hope to use a King Street property as a machine shop and for light metal manufacturing are seeking a variance from the Pottstown Zoning Hearing Board, and are scheduled for a hearing Oct. 16 (2013; Wednesday) at 7 p.m. in the council meeting room on the third floor of borough hall, 100 High St.
John McGlinn and Kevin J. Twardowski want to conduct their work at 616 King St., but require a waiver because the property is located in the borough’s Traditional Town Neighborhood (Conservation) Zoning District, according to a legal advertisement published Friday (Sept. 20) for the board. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Pottstown Borough Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a hearing on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Pottstown Borough Hall, 100 E. High Street, Pottstown, Pennsylvania upon the Appeal of John McGlinn and Kevin J. Twardowski to use the subject property situate at 616 King Street, Pottstown, Pennsylvania for a machine shop/light metal manufacture. Appellants request a variance to Chapter 27, Section 319.2 of the Pottstown Borough Zoning Ordinance for the proposed use. The subject property is situate in the Traditional Town Neighborhood (Conservation) Zoning District of the Borough of Pottstown.
Copies of the Application may be examined by the public at the Pottstown Borough Code Enforcement Department, Pottstown Borough Hall, 100 E. High Street, 2nd Floor, Pottstown, Pennsylvania during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. At the time of the hearing, any affected persons or parties will be given an opportunity to be heard. Any party may be represented by legal counsel at the hearing. The Board reserves the right to conduct any other business that may come before it.
