POTTSTOWN PA – Family Fest, the yearly opportunity for Greater Pottstown area families to explore in one location all that borough and county agencies and organizations have to offer them, returns Tuesday (March 12, 2013) from 5-7:30 p.m. at Pottstown Senior High School, 750 N. Washington St. The event is free and open to the public.
“Family Fest was developed to enhance, celebrate and explore family dynamics, development, growth, and unity,” Pottstown Family Center Director Jenn Brown says. “This year’s theme, ‘Stay Healthy, Play More,’ focuses on buying local and encourages families to find volunteer opportunities they care about so they can ultimately give back to their community,” she added.
This event features information and resources from more than 30 area organizations, as well as activities for the entire family, roving entertainment, sandwiches, drinks, Rita’s water ice, and a variety of door prizes. Information booths will be open from 5-7 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded from 7-7:30 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Family Fest is sponsored by Family Services or Montgomery County and its Pottstown Family Center, the Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department, and the Pottstown School District with funding support from the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation.
