ELVERSON PA – An orienteering program, in which participants learn to make their way across ground by using only a map and a compass, will be held March 2 (2013; Saturday) beginning at 10 a.m. at Crows Nest Preserve in French Creek State Park, 1057 Park Rd. The event, sponsored by the Delaware Valley Orienteering Association, is free and open to the public.
- This event has been added to The Post calendar.
The two-part program will consist of an hour of classroom instruction and an hour of feet-on-the-ground orienteering, organizers say. Participants will use their maps to locate orange and white flags in the park’s forest.
