Playhouse's Valentine Suggestion: 'Songs From The Heart'POTTSTOWN PA – A special cabaret presentation of “Songs for the Heart,” a mixture of romantic favorites from Broadway and popular music perfect for sweethearts and music lovers, will be offered Feb. 16 (2013; Saturday) at 8 p.m. as a Valentine’s Day treat by the Philadelphia-based vocal group Lyric Fest at Steel River Playhouse, 245 High St.

Songs for the Heart features a highly accomplished trio of singers – Suzanne DuPlantis, Randi J. Marrazzo, and Pottstown’s own Maggie Moliterno Riker – who have performed throughout the world. During intermission, it also will spread a dessert buffet with what Steel River promises to be “innovative, delicious, sweet creations.”

Tickets cost $25 each and $45 per pair, and can be purchased in advance online, here; or call 610-970-1199.

Steel River annually produces more than 90 performances and hosts more than 10,000 people as audiences, students, artists, donors and volunteers from throughout the region. It offers performance opportunities, theater technical training; acting, voice, and instrumental lessons; classes and workshops, summer camp programs, and educational outreach.
