KNAUERTOWN PA – Join the staff of Warwick County Park, just south of Pottstown, later this month as they build homes for bluebirds, one of Pennsylvania’s most popular songbirds.
Visitors to the park can build a bluebird box on Feb. 23 (2013; Saturday) at 2 p.m. at the park office, 382 County Park Rd. (3-1/2 miles west of the intersection of Routes 100 and 23).
Instructor Jay Erb of the Chester County (PA) Parks and Recreation staff will teach participants everything they need to know about bluebird boxes: construction, mounting, and seasonal maintenance. Boxes can be built for use in the park or in back yards. A fee of $10 per bluebird box kit will be charged.
Registration is required. For more information and to register, call the park at 610-469-1916, or download a registration form.
