POTTSTOWN PA – “Keeping kids safe and warm,” says Pottstown Comfort Inn Director of Sales Dawn Carrion, is the goal behind a Holiday Warm Gear Campaign being conducted by the hotel, 99 Robinson St., on behalf of the YWCA Tri-County Area.

As the weather grows colder and budgets are stretched thin, Carrion said Thursday (Dec. 6, 2012), low-income families are increasingly challenged to provide their children with essential gear needed to face a harsh winter. The Comfort Inn and Suites is collecting and distributing cold weather apparel like hats, mittens, scarves and gloves to children who attend programs at the YWCA.

She asked for public help in outfitting 46 children. The campaign has identified needs for 24 boys, two between the ages of infant and age 2, and nine between ages 3-5; and 22 girls, 10 between infant and 2, and 12 between 3-5. Donations can be made by bringing the clothing items in to the Comfort Inn  and hanging them on its special YWCA donation tree. Contributions are being accepted through Dec. 14.

For more information, call Carrion at 610-326-5000, or send her an e-mail here.

Thank you so much for the acknowledgement.
We are off to a pretty good start and hope to get more people involved this season. Our ownership – Infinity Hotel Group actually decided to sweeten the deal by donating 1 toy for each of the 46 children of the YWCA Tri-County Area.
