PROVING WHAT THEY (AND THEIR DRINKS) ARE MADE OF – Members of the bar tending staff at TGI Friday’s Restaurant in Pottstown’s Coventry Mall (above) demonstrated their flair for beverage creation Monday night (Aug. 27, 2012) during the local edition of the nationwide chain’s Bar Champs competition. Bar-keeps have been encouraged by the company since 1986 to entertain their guests by showing off their drinking-making skills. Its Bar Champs contests have since become local, regional and national venues to determine who ranks among the chain’s most talented mixologists. Monday’s event attracted a crowd at the mall, and prompted one visitor to the restaurant’s Facebook page to look over the concoctions (below) and croon, “OK, I want one of each!”
