BOYERTOWN PA – The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles will join more than 1,400 other museums and public attractions nationwide as they open their doors free of charge during Sept. 29 (2012; Saturday), for the eighth annual Museum Day Live event, which emulates the free admission policy of Washington DC’s Smithsonian Institution.
- This event has been added to The Post calendar.
For the one day only, the Museum of Historic Vehicles at 85 S. Walnut St. will grant free access to visitors who download a Museum Day Live! ticket from the Smithsonian. Last year’s event attracted more than 350,000 museum-goers across the country. This year’s Museum Day Live is expected to draw close to 400,000 participants.
Museum Day Live! tickets were available to download beginning in August from a Smithsonian web page, here. Visitors who present the ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues. Only one ticket is permitted per household and per email address.
The museum is regularly open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed Mondays. For more information, call 610-367-2090.
