POTTSTOWN PA – From “about 20″ to “about 40;” that’s the kind of increase Jim Folk is hoping to see as a membership drive for the Upper Pottsgrove Fire Company continues during the summer, The Pottstown Patch online news service reported Monday (Jan. 16, 2012)
Fire Police Captain and Membership Secretary Jim Folk said he and his wife Kerri, president of the fire company auxiliary, are busily recruiting members in person; with flyers, posters and brochures; and at community events. The company, founded in 1949, has a particular need of volunteers during daytime hours, he told The Patch.
Applicants must be age 18 or older. For more information, call 610-326-7589
