The severed utility pole
POTTSTOWN PA – First responders said the driver and sole occupant of a car that collided Thursday night (March 29, 2012) at about 11 p.m. with a utility pole on Farmington Avenue near Strogus Florist in Pottstown PA was transported to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center for care of an unspecified injury.
Upper Pottsgrove Fire Company members responded to the motor vehicle accident, assisted by Upper Pottsgrove Police, Goodwill Ambulance, and fire police crews from Upper Pottsgrove Pottstown and Gilbertsville.
Electrical power was said to be disrupted for a period of time for at least one Farmington Avenue resident.
The accident occurred shortly after the fire company had finished its vehicle fire training, according to an entry today (Friday, March 30) on its Facebook page. The last of emergency vehicles did not leave the scene until 2:30 this morning, it added.
