Who got tapped?
POTTSTOWN PA – The Grammy Awards for best musical performances may have taken center stage Sunday (Feb. 12, 2012) in Hollywood and on national television, but individuals tapped Monday (Feb. 13) by Pottstown Borough Council to play important roles in the community’s future attracted media attention too.
Council members named several people to fill seats on the borough Environmental Advisory Commission, planning commission, Downtown Improvement District Authority, and Historic Architecture Review Board, according to Wednesday’s (Feb. 15) edition of the Digital Notebook blog by reporter Evan Brandt of The Mercury newspaper.
The council also left some appointments unfilled. The reason: no one’s stepped up to volunteer, Brandt wrote. E-mails and old-fashioned letters of interest are welcomed, he said.
- You can’t tell the players without a scorecard. Read Brandt’s post, titled “The Envelope Please …” and published Wednesday at Digital Notebook, here. He also describes he positions still vacant, and how those interested can apply.
