POTTSTOWN PA – An employee of a borough restaurant that wins high marks for its gourmet cuisine is helping bring some comfort to the Pottstown area’s homeless.
Val, a server at the highly rated Funky Lil’ Kitchen, 232 King St., Pottstown PA, has enlisted her bosses’ help in promoting a sock drive that will continue through Saturday (Feb. 18, 2012) at the restaurant. A letter from the Kitchen’s owners and staff, appealing for public help in collecting new socks with tags for men, women and children, was published Sunday (Feb. 12) by the Positively Pottstown blog.
The effort is a partnership with the Radnor PA-based non-profit organization, Joy of Sox.
